I have said it once and I’ll say it again, there is nothing better then an install day! But first the horse, then the cart.
My clients purchased their home over thirty years ago and, needless to say, it was ready for a major update! They wanted a comfortable and cozy interior that they could enjoy with their friends. We used the following photos as inspiration, a jumping off point.
Living in California, it is always fun to play with a nice, rich palate, but the design challenge is making it feel airy and fresh. We wanted to combine a rustic nature with clean lines and sharp furnishings. And we complimented it with textural fabrics that add depth and coziness.
And now, I give your the cart, er, the finished home!
We are thrilled with the way it all came together!

Absolutely beautiful…doesnt even look like So Cal and I love the interior shutters and exposed brick backsplash. Nicely done!
You just blow me away, Amy, with the initial impact, and then with all of those luscious *details.* Thank you for the treat of these images.
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!
Stunning! You are a very talented lady!
You’ve done an amazing job! Every image shows a well crafted, inspiring space. Thank you for sharing.
Amy,
This home turned out so beautifully. It looks inviting and cozy. I love the kitchen and breakfast areas.

Well done! So, so beautiful. I love the creamy paint with all the black furnishings. And, I especially love that beautiful painting above the piano. Stunning. And, thanks for the little peek into your inspiration
Amy as usual…stunning, stunning, stunning. I will be studying and stalking these photos for a long time! Outstanding work.
Damn girl…you continue to impress with your talent. This home looks beautiful. And congrats again on expecting baby #2.
Stunning. Stunning!!!
Absolutely gorgeous! Well done!
Fantastic job! Your design looks very current without being too trendy…if that makes any sense. I saw that you used brass lighting/hardware in the kitchen, along with a chrome faucet. What’s your rule of thumb for these types of things? I’m constantly trying to match doorknob/faucet/cabinet hardware/lighting/etc. but that seems really constraining.
Thank you! I love to mix metal finishes, just like I love to mix furniture styles. By combining these different elements you create depth and personality!
Thank you for this, Amy. I have a vintage black floral textile similar to that on the chairs, and this really helps me to know what to do with it. And, the reverse custom lampshade is very clever! Fantastic work per usual!
