In Rose Tarlow's Words

Don’t try to be different, just be excellent.” Rose Tarlow

I have been a fan of Rose Tarlow for years!  Her furniture and fabric lines are to die for.   Just the other day, I read a post about her new book on Cote de Texas and smiled when I read the above quotation.  I absolutely love what she is saying here.

People often ask designers, "What makes you a unique designer?" What they should be asking is "What makes you an excellent designer?"  I firmly believe that to be excellent one must be able to read a client and give them an interior that is as uniquely theirs, like their fingerprint.

Currently, I have a client  in the Kensington neighborhood of San Diego.  After gutting the home and choosing all of the core furniture and fabrics, it is now time for the coup de grace: the details. So where do I go to find the perfect accent fabric for the pillows?  Of course, Rose Tarlow!  We chose the most sumptuous, paprika colored mohair.  It's not too red, and not too orange; it's just right and it's going to be fabulous!  I will be sure to post pictures when the house comes together.

Till then, here are a few pieces I love from Rose Tarlow's furniture and fabric line.
