The Week That Was: 8.31.15

Happy Monday!  Last week, while still diligently working on projects for clients, we made the big push to solidify all of the remaining details for our space in Luxe Magazine's Greystone show house.   In two short weeks, the walls will be painted, the wallpaper hung, and the electrical installed.

We cannot access the space as often as I would with a client, and much of the design work is done upfront, therefore, it is these relatively minor last details that will really make all the difference.  And so this past visit was all about the feeling the space evoked.  I spent much of the day at the historic home just sitting, thinking, and listening to what the muses were singing.  In the end, we made some significant changes that should create a dramatic first impression, while ultimately adding a stronger sense of balance.  There is a delicate dance between the pieces, the colors, and the textures of the space, and hopefully these changes will keep all them all in step.  Here is a peek into our progress.

A big thank you to our sponsors: Cowtan & Tout, Quadrille, Paul Montgomery, Lori Cozen Geller, Samuel & Sons, C'est La Vie Antiques, Farrow & Ball and Tai Ping Carpets.  I am so grateful for their support!
