Custom Canopy
Before leaving Boston, we sold virtually everything! Among the items sold were my husbands blond wood platform bed that I did not like and my fireplace mantle headboard that he did not like. So here we are with NO headboard: a problem I intend to rectify. I am really liking the combination of upholstered headboards and custom canopies; they are warm and inviting, plus there is no need for art above the headboard (which means I do not have to worry about the pictures above my bed falling on me at night). Now that our stripes are complete (stay tuned for the after photos), I am antsy to get our bed squared away. In our room, I have hung 5 fabric combinations that we are considering for the headboard and canopy. We purposely chose fresh, bold prints to keep the room frombecoming too formal. The next step will be finalizing the construction of the cornice. I leave you with these gorgeous canopies.
