AMD Storefront Gallery Today: 1.26.16

Picture this: one week ago, today, we had exactly one lone chair sitting in our storefront.  Our Autumn and Winter inventory completely sold through, and it all happened quite suddenly.  A sad sight, indeed, but an exciting one for a designer.  Time for a redesign! As you've seen in the past, I have gone with more neutral tones, a clean slate if you will.  But right now I am craving color.  (Not too much, but just the right punch.) So, I am layering different textures and tones of blue and white fabrics, and adding a pop with a large painting by Shelley Adler and  a set of beautiful Kate Castelli pieces that we are currently having framed.

While we prepare for our new floor, we are also working on an improvement to the studio spce, itself. We are adding a dividing wall between the retail space and the working studio, and since a plain wall would be boring, we decided to make it a three-sided, paneled fireplace.  Hopefully, this will create a more gracious, welcoming sight than the blinding sunlight visitors are currently getting when entering the studio.   Here is a rendering of the new structure that will be going up.

I cannot wait to share the new floor once everything is complete!
