An Eclectic Den

I just couldn't bring myself to blog about pretty things last week.  You see, my husband and I moved to California from Boston four years ago.  The city, and the people who live there, are very close to our hearts.  This tragedy forced me to stop and really appreciate all the love I have in my life.  I am so thankful to have such supportive and encouraging parents and friends (and husband).  Without them, I would not be the person I am today. With that said, and while it still feels trivial, the transition back to "normal" life for me is to talk about the pretty things in life.  These "things" that we surround ourselves with do have the ability to bring joy and can help provide a sense of self.

So, to kick off this week,  I give you this vibrant den that I designed for a young couple here in Cardiff, CA.  They happen to be great people who love Africa and travel there each year for both fun and volunteer work.  Inspired by the spirit of their journeys, and also by their love of French designer Jacques Grange, we got to work.  They wanted an eclectic, comfortable, and fresh room to to serve as a retreat.   And I just love a client that is not afraid of color!

AMD_B_DenIsn't it fun?  I wish you all a happy and hopeful week.
