Before & After: master bathroom renovation
How about a little Before & After to get us over the hump. Much like the kitchen here, my client's master bath needed quite an overhaul. I owe them a huge thank you for allowing me to really get in there and push the design in this room. I was inspired by antique Swedish wallpaper, so we commissioned an artist to create an over-sized oil painting that we hung in the space. The piece anchors the room and created a soothing palette of grey, cream and yellow that we built off of.

We stripped the room to its bones, redesigned the niche, replaced the cabinets with custom pieces that I designed to read like dressers (probably my favorite part of the project, the pewter inlay detail is just divine), and of course, added fabric and paint and hardware, layering various tones of grey over a soothing white, with pops of gold for contrasting accents.
I mean... pewter inlays, hammered nickel knobs and pulls, pewter sinks, custom marble shelving atop each cabinet, bespoke pewter and brass lighting... How fabulous?!
