Point of Inspiration

The new year brought us a new project that feels fresh and exhilarating.  The point of inspiration became clear as could be as I arrived on the incredible property.  A pea gravel path, lined with olive trees, led us to a collection of raised vegetable gardens surrounding a center courtyard, anchored by the most charming chicken coop you have ever seen. (Which my clients personally built along with their neighbors.)  Though subtle, even in January there is color everywhere. The vegetation and the chicken eggs are to serve as our color inspiration.  We begin with custom Paul Montgomery Chinoiserie panels in the living room.  And then, as we travel through the house we transition from topaz and pearl to aquamarine,  amethyst, and sapphire.  I see a kaleidoscope of subtle and elegant gem tones.  I can't wait to share the process with you.
